Orchestra, chorus, and band, you are the epitome of talent and class, and we look forward to watching you in the future! A Memorial Day tradition. Polson 7th graders teach Brown and Neck 5th graders about the brave soldiers who fought for our country so long ago. Lessons in gravestone cleaning help transform stones to their original beauty.

Polson’s spring concert season kicked off with the sixth grade band, chorus, and orchestra performing before a packed audience earlier this week. Great job, kids! Stay tuned for 7th and 8th grade concerts next week.

Eighth grade students participated in Law Day last week, a unique and special day where they attended a variety of presentations from various law-related agencies. Speakers include an attorney, paramedic, and police officers. Agencies included the CT State Police, the DEA, Madison PD, DEEP, and the FBI. An outdoor display featuring a variety of vehicles was available for students to explore, and the day also included a keynote speaker on Internet safety. Many thanks to all the presenters who provided engaging sessions for the students, to the PTO who provided breakfast and lunch for our speakers, and teacher Art Robbins who coordinated another amazing day for our students.
