Tony Curtis was born Bernard Schwartz. In 1938, Tony lost the person most important to him when his brother, Julius, was hit by a truck and killed. Tony enlisted in the navy in 1942. He was discharged in 1945. Tony auditioned for the New York Dramatic Workshop, he was accepted on the strength of his audition piece. Tony was in such movies as Spartacus, Some Like it Hot and The Great Race
