During the late evening hours of Saturday, July 4th, 2026, your Lodi Area Fire Department responded to Harmony Grove, Wisconsin for a structure fire.

Bystanders shared that a neighbor observed fire on the house’s exterior and alerted the occupants, who successfully evacuated.

The response was escalated to a MABAS box alarm, with Arlington Fire Department, Poynette Dekorra Fire Department, Prairie du Sac Fire Department, Sauk City Fire Department, Dane Volunteer Fire Department, and Portage Fire Department (EMS) providing on-scene support.

Lodi Area EMS assisted the evacuees and monitored firefighter rehab, as conditions were warm and very humid.

Waunakee Fire Department provided change of quarters coverage in Lodi.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Saturday, June 20th was a busy day for firefighters in Dane County.

At 10:22 PM, your City of Madison Fire Department responded to Independence Lane for a reported fire on the exterior of a house.

First due crews quickly knocked down the fire and ensured it hadn’t spread to the attic.

Engine 8, Ladder 8, and Engine 11 handled the incident with the FIT team handling the investigation.

The Madison Police Department blocked traffic access from all directions to ensure safe operations.

Crews cleared the scene after approx. 2 hours. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire has not yet been released.

At 7:38 AM on Saturday, June 20th, your DeForest Windsor Fire & EMS responded to the village of Windsor for a residential structure fire.

Located in an area without city water service, access was further challenged by topography and being at the end of a lengthy, wooded cul-de-sac.

DeForest Windsor FD quickly requested assistance from mutual aid partners, elevating to a second alarm level MABAS 2-2 to include water tenders (tankers) and engines (for personnel) from other departments.

Nearly 40 apparatus from a total of 14 departments responded to the scene and provided station coverage:

Crews were on scene for nearly 5 hours. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The cause of a commercial fire at Kipp Corporation in Madison, Wisconsin on Tuesday, May 26th is still being investigated.

The City of Madison Fire Department responded with a total of ~30 units from 11 different stations to the metal fabrication facility over the duration of the 12 hour call.

Everyone evacuated safely and there were no reported injuries.
