The vast majority of City of Madison offices and services, including all emergency services, are fully operational.

Please exercise extreme caution while traveling today. City crews have been running the salt routes since 2 p.m. on Sunday, but blowing snow means that many roads remain slippery. A citywide plowing operation is currently underway and is expected to take at least 12 hours to complete. A snow emergency has been declared for this evening — please park on the odd side of the street tonight. Your patience is appreciated. www.cityofmadison.com/live-work/winter

Metro Transit is operating today. Please be patient, as there will be delays due to weather and road conditions. Metro’s Bus Tracker has real-time route information: www.cityofmadison.com/metro/how-to-ride/winter-weather-riding

All Madison Libraries are currently open, and the Warner Park Community Recreation Center is also open. However, specific programs may be canceled so please check the public calendar: www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/check-it-out/winter-weather-update-all-libraries-open-march-16

Public Health's East Washington and Atrium (S. Park) locations are both closed today. The WIC office is closed, but remote services are continuing as normal. publichealthmdc.com/alerts/clinics-and-offices-closed-due-to-weather

Trash collection is canceled today but will resume tomorrow – please do not place trash and recycling carts out. If your normal collection day is Monday, set your carts out tomorrow. The City’s drop-off sites are also closed today. www.cityofmadison.com/streets

Please be safe, be smart, and avoid traveling if possible. And thank you to all City employees who are working hard to keep Madison safe today!
