We’ve partnered with Madison Consolidated High School’s basketball programs to offer both boys’ and girls’ basketball leagues for grades K-6!

We’ve already had quite a few sign-ups, but there’s still time to get your child registered. Registration is open through next Friday, August 21, at madison-in.gov/rec. Paper registration forms are also available at the Brown Gym.

Our Youth Tackle Football registration deadline is coming up soon! Be sure to register by next Monday, August 17, at madison-in.gov/rec and join us for an action-packed season!

As a reminder, we offer two divisions: Grades 3–4 and Grades 5–6.

If you have a child in K–2, the Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson County is offering Flag Football! Their registration deadline is tomorrow, so be sure to sign up soon. Find more details and register at http://www.bgcjeffersonco.org/athletics.

Get in some extra days of pool fun at Crystal Beach as we extend the pool season by one week! Read the shared post below for all the details.

Good news — we’re extending our pool season by one week!

Here’s what you need to know:

• Our last pool day will now be Friday, September 11.
• Our current pool hours will remain the same. (Find our current schedule in our pinned post at the top of our page or on our website at madison-in.gov/crystalbeach)
• Dog Day of Summer will now take place on Sunday, September 13, instead of the originally scheduled date of September 8.

We hope you’ll take advantage of these extra days of pool fun before the season officially comes to an end.

It’s that time of year! 🦀

Our seniors got to enjoy Alaskan snow crab legs for lunch today, generously provided by William and prepped and cooked by Susan and Gib. Along with other tasty dishes brought by our senior regulars, today’s weekly pitch-in lunch was one to remember.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s lunch extra special! Don’t forget, our weekly pitch-in lunches are every Monday at 11:30 AM at the Senior Center. We’d love to have you join us!

A big thank you to all of our pickleball players for making the sport such a vibrant part of our community. Whether you're playing in the Brown Gym or hitting the courts at the Mary Kay McCubbin Sport Court, we appreciate your enthusiasm and love for the game. It's great to see players of all ages enjoying the sport, from our regular players to participants in our Youth Pickleball Camp.

Can you dig it? Youth Volleyball registration for the 2026 season is now open! 🏐

Whether your child is new to the game or ready to sharpen their skills, we've got a great way to get the season started. Join us for our 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜, where players can learn the fundamentals, build confidence, and have fun before league play begins. The clinic will be held on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎, from 𝟏-𝟑 𝐏𝐌, at the Brown Gym.

The 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 is open to students in 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝟑–𝟔, with a 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟 $𝟑𝟎. Students in 3rd and 4th grade will play together, while 5th and 6th graders will play together. Practices will begin in late September and games will begin after fall break.

Introducing Fall Ball! ⚾🥎🍂

While our regular season of youth baseball and softball is over, we're excited to keep the fun going with the launch of our new Fall Ball program!

Fall Ball gives players the opportunity to continue developing their skills, enjoy friendly competition, and stay on the field throughout the fall season. Practices begin Monday, August 10, and games will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 1 through October 1. Stay tuned for more details!

Good news! If you’ve been loving the new REFIT program on Thursday afternoons, we’re excited to announce that beginning in August, REFIT will also be offered on Mondays!

Join us every Monday and Thursday from 3–3:30 PM at the Senior Center for REFIT with our volunteer coach, Landyn.

Bring your energy, invite a friend, and enjoy a fun way to stay active together. We hope to see you there!
