Horizon got a MAJOR glow-up!

What was once an overgrown, unused space outside our library has been completely transformed into a beautiful courtyard for our students and staff to enjoy! With new turf and a fresh, welcoming look, this space is ready for outdoor learning, reading, gathering, and making memories together.

We want to give a HUGE shoutout and heartfelt thank you to Esteban Miguel and the hardworking team at JC Landscaping of North Alabama LLC! Their dedication, hard work, and care for this project helped turn a dream we had for this space into a reality.

We are so excited to see our students and staff enjoying this beautiful new area for many years to come. Thank you for helping make Horizon an even more special place to learn and grow!

The Horizon Library is excited to host special book release parties during the school day to celebrate newly released titles and spark excitement about reading! In our mission to ignite a passion for reading and build excitement around new books, we’re hosting exclusive release parties for five brand-new titles this fall. Your child can join the celebration, enjoy book-themed activities, and—if you choose—purchase a copy of the book to take home! All purchases will be made easy through a local book store, Blue Apple Books. Order through their link and books will arrive to the school in time for our party!

Even if your child doesn’t purchase a book, they can still participate in the event and enjoy the party. Students who don't purchase a book will have the chance to draw numbers to join the reserve list for the book, ensuring they can check it out from our Horizon library soon after. Please limit your choice to TWO parties.
