Toyota Field hosted a truly inspiring athlete this week at the Women in Sports Luncheon. Grace Norman is a Paralympic gold medalist in town for the 2026 Paraworlds this week.

We also have teams from Italy, Brazil, and Japan staying in Madison this week!

Coming Soon! You can be the "i" in MADiSON.

This afternoon, the City broke ground on the MADiSON Letters installation in Town Madison - the keynote project for Madison's America 250 Celebration.

These letters will be made of fiberglass and steel and will stand 6.5 feet tall. We can even repaint them to commemorate special events.

Huge thank you to the City of Madison America 250 Committee, Madison Visionary Partners, and the Madison Chamber of Commerce for their help with this landmark project.

The MADiSON Letters are being funded by generous donors and community partners including:

🚨Traffic Alert🚨

Heads up for anyone traveling on Old Madison Pike near Hughes Road after 10 p.m. on September 2.

The outside lane on Hughes in the northbound direction will be closed so crews can relocate overhead electrical lines. This is a part of the Old Madison Pike and Hughes Road widening project.

We expect the lane to reopen by 5 a.m. September 3.

The crew of Artemis II touched down in Madison last night at Toyota Field! We had an amazing time hearing them talk about the mission, their time in North Alabama, and what's on the horizon!

Join us on 9/11!

Please join us on September 11th for a special ceremony marking the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. This event will be held at Toyota Field. Gates open at 8:00am and the ceremony begins at 8:30am. There will also be a Stair Climb at the conclusion of the ceremony, approx. 9:00am. Both events are free to attend or participate. See less

Madison Utilities Project Update:

Crews will close Church Street from Maple Street to Front Street during the day from September 1-3.

Additionally, crews will close one lane of Church Street from Mill Road to Front Street from September 1-11.
