🚒 A Huge Thank You to the Rudolph Volunteer Fire Department ❤️

The Wisconsin Fire & EMS Memorial would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the members of the Rudolph Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. for volunteering their time on August 6th to help care for the Memorial.

The crew spent their time cleaning and maintaining the park grounds as well as cleaning the Memorial building, helping ensure that the entire property remains beautiful, welcoming, and respectful for the families, first responders, and visitors who come to honor Wisconsin's fallen heroes.

The Memorial is maintained through the generosity and hard work of volunteers and supporters like the Rudolph Volunteer Fire Department. We truly appreciate your willingness to give your time and energy to help preserve this special place and the legacy it represents.

July 31, 2026 - LODD
Firefighter/EMT Bryce Jungbluth, 27
Eau Claire Fire Department. Eau Claire, WI
During his shift on July 23, 2026, that included responding to one emergency, Firefighter/EMT Jungbluth reported that he was not feeling well and had developed a headache. He completed this shift. Firefighter/EMT Jungbluth then worked two additional 24-hour shifts on July 24 and July 25 during which he responded to multiple emergencies including a structure fire. He continued to feel unwell and complained of a headache during these additional shifts. On the morning of July 26, 2026, Firefighter/EMT Jungbluth came off the third shift. Because he was still unwell, Firefighter/EMT Jungbluth went to a hospital where it was determined that he had suffered a sudden onset of hydrocephalus. Firefighter/EMT Jungbluth passed away on July 31, 2026. Firefighter Jungbluth joined the Eau Claire Fire Department in June 2026 after proudly serving four years with the Carrboro Fire Department in North Carolina. He, his wife Emma, and their infant son, Hayes, made the decision to return home to Wisconsin to be closer to their families and begin a new chapter together.
