Safe Harbor joins the community in mourning the sudden passing of Michael Johnson , President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County. Michael's leadership and steadfast dedication to children and families has had an enormous impact, and his long history of compassionate advocacy has left a legacy that will live on for years to come. Our heartfelt condolences to his wife and children, his family and loved ones, and the entire Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County community for this tremendous loss.

Premiered at this year’s Rent Event, the video highlights the perspective of a child navigating the aftermath of abuse and how Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) make an impact both immediately and long term.

When children experience abuse, the moments that follow matter. CACs help reduce trauma by providing a child-focused space. Through forensic interviews, family advocacy, therapy, and coordinated support services, CACs help reduce trauma while ensuring children feel heard, supported, and safe.
