Please join us in "lighting the night red" beginning tonight, April 26th-May 3, 2026. We will be honoring Lt Al Vankramer (1/3/2024) and FF Albert "Al" P. Di**le (1/27/1986) who both made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the Madison community, along with so many others around the country that have done the same.

The Madison Fire District would like to recognize and thank Firefighter/Paramedic Erin Tennant for her many years of dedicated service to the residents of Madison Township and Madison Village. Firefighter Tennant has served the District for over a decade, where she made history by being the first female hired full-time. She genuinely loves her work and the community. As Erin moves on in her career, we sincerely appreciate the professionalism, dedication and compassion that she has shown throughout her time with the District. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors!

Today and tomorrow, we have the pleasure of hosting the Ohio Fire Academy and their Live Blast Trailer which is a mobile training unit used to provide firefighters with realistic structural fire suppression experience. This also allowed neighboring fire departments to participate in high-intensity training without traveling to the central academy.

The trailer provides realistic environments to practice maneuvering through narrow doorways, tight turns, and stairs within the trailer to simulate the challenges of a real building fire.

We will be conducting a controlled live fire training in the 6300 block of N Ridge Rd tomorrow morning. Smoke will be in the area for an extended period of time starting at 730AM.
