A MESSAGE OF THANKS

Thank you to Morgan County Fire Rescue for help with delivery and pick up of the election equipment for election day. Firemen serve our community every day, and during elections help with yet another essential task.

Thank you to Sheriff Tyler Hooks and the Morgan County GA Sheriff's Office, who ensure the safety of our polling places, our poll workers, our office, our staff, and the voters.

Thank you to the voters, who showed up for 17 days of early voting and a very big day of voting on election day. You make your voices heard every time you step into the voting booth.

Thank you to my board members, who show up to do the work that needs to be done.

The biggest thank you to the poll workers and Elections Office staff who are integral to the elections process. They are the faces voters see when they come to vote, when they come in to request or return an absentee ballot, and when they show up on election day needing assistance in finding their polling place. Long before and after the polls close, there is voting equipment preparation, training, polling place set up, paperwork, polling place take down, more paperwork, a little more paperwork, tabulation, and an audit. They do this work with professionalism and a smile. They work to make sure every eligible voter who wants to vote is able to. I am grateful for everything they do.
