🚨 URGENT: HIGH FIRE DANGER

Dispatch reports four fires today, including a large fire near Highways 212 and 75, where five fire departments are responding.

Hot temperatures, high winds, and low humidity are allowing fires to start easily and spread quickly. Local fire response resources are currently at capacity.

Responders are asking everyone to temporarily pause activities that could spark a fire, including fieldwork, equipment use, burning, and other outdoor activities, until conditions improve. Even routine tasks can unintentionally ignite dry vegetation in these conditions.

Thank you for helping protect our communities and supporting our firefighters. Please share this alert.

Heads up, everyone: we are seeing reports of a local spam call impersonating one of our deputies.

If you get a suspicious call, do not answer if you do not recognize the number, and never share personal, banking, or account information over the phone. Do not call this person back.

Scammers often try to create urgency or pretend to be from a trusted agency or business like the Sheriff's Office. If something feels off, hang up and contact the organization directly using a number you know is legitimate, which is 320-598-3720.

Please help spread the word and remind friends and family to stay alert.
