🌟 Teacher Feature: Making Learning Come Alive! 🌟

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on two of our fabulous fifth grade teachers who know how to turn learning into an adventure!

From exploring the wonders of science in Mrs. Ghann's class to bringing social studies to life in Mrs. Johnson's class, these teachers have been creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that keep students curious, excited, and eager to discover what comes next.

Thank you for going the extra mile to make learning meaningful, memorable, and FUN for our fifth graders. We love seeing our students excited about what they’re learning! ❤️📚🔬🌎

🏈 Tailgate Time at MCES! 🏈

We kicked off the first high school football game of the season a little early with a school-day tailgate for our teachers! Good food, great company, and plenty of Bulldog spirit made for a fun way to celebrate Friday and get ready for our home game tonight.

Nothing says football season like a little tailgate fun—even during the school day! ❤️🖤

We’re Brewing Up Something Special at MCES!

What a brew-tiful first week of school at Morgan County Elementary School! Our halls have been buzzing with excitement, our classrooms are filled with the perfect blend of learning and laughter, and our students are already pouring their hearts into a brand-new year!

This week, we’ve been serving up…
A fresh cup of new friendships
A daily dose of learning
A whole latte kindness
Extra shots of confidence
And plenty of sweet memories!

We couldn’t have asked for a better blend of students, staff, families, and community to kick off the year. Together, we’re filling every cup with encouragement, curiosity, kindness, and opportunities to grow.

🚗 MCES Car Rider Reminder – Let's Start the Year Off Right! 🚗

As we kick off another exciting school year at Morgan County Elementary, we're asking all car rider families to help us keep arrival and dismissal safe, efficient, and stress-free by following our designated traffic pattern and extending a little extra patience during the first few weeks of school.

📍 Please note: The car rider drop-off and pick-up line has been extended this year to help improve traffic flow and safely accommodate more vehicles.

To help reduce congestion on East Avenue, please follow the red arrows on the official MCES traffic map and stay on the designated drop-off and pick-up route. Please follow the directions of the Morgan County Sheriff's Office traffic officer and school staff at all times.

🕖 Doors open at 7:20 a.m. Please plan ahead:
✔️ Leave home a few minutes early.
✔️ Allow extra time for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
✔️ Drop students off only in the designated unloading area.
✔️ Pull forward as far as possible before stopping.
✔️ Be patient and show kindness---we're all working together to keep our students safe!
