Christmas Magic in Downtown Madison Alabama

There is approximately 25,000 lights and nearly 3,000 feet of extension cords to hook everything together. The display is run by a computer which runs software called Light-o-rama which I program to tell the lights what to do (on/off, twinkle, chase, etc). For every minute of the display it take me about two hours to program to get it right. I have a small low power FM transmitter that is hooked to the computer so you can hear the music in your car. I usually start putting lights up in mid-October but I'm working on Christmas related stuff throughout the year. It's not unusual for me to have lights strewn out and Christmas music playing in the middle of July. My two children love to help and think it's really cool that their house is the most decorated and that people come to see it. You may be wondering how much it costs or how much I've spent. Didn't your mother teach you that it's rude to ask questions like that? just kidding, lets just say that I could have purchased a nice used car for what I've put into this display. I work a seasonal part time job so I can buy the extra things I want for it. I don't ask for donations because I feel that If I have to ask for donations my display has gotten to big and I need to scale it back. If you still feel the overwhelming urge to donate, please consider the numerous other charities in the area that need your support this time of year, or drop extra in the church offering plate. The display will run every night between December 1st and January 1st. If it rains the display WILL NOT RUN. Times are Sun-Th 5:30-10; Fri & Sat 5-11
