***Traffic Alert***
Major traffic crash on Interstate 10 near the eastbound 258 mile marker. Eastbound traffic is being rerouted at exit 251 highway 14 to US 90 in town for an unknown timeframe. Expect an influx of interstate traffic in town and East 90 toward Lee. Please exercise caution with the weather and patience with the traffic. Thank you for your attention.

Sheriff David Harper and the Madison County Sheriff’s office send our deepest condolences to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office for the passing of dedicated law enforcement officer Sgt. Corey Griffin. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Manatee County he honorably served. We stand with them during this difficult time.

We are deeply saddened to announce the off-duty passing of one of our own, Sergeant Corey Griffin.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office extends our heartfelt condolences to Sergeant Griffin’s family, friends, and fellow MCSO colleagues. We stand with them during this incredibly difficult time and honor Sergeant Griffin’s service and dedication to our community.
