Hello, friends! The Shrewsbury-Windle House has seen a lot of disease, war, economic downturn, and more. In keeping with recommendations from government and medical officials, we are going to halt our current plans for events like teas, private rentals, and tours. Our most recent tea was so much fun, and the next one will be even “funner!” Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 26, for a special fashion-inspired event where afternoon tea meets cocktail party smack in the face. We’ll be welcoming some of Madison’s fashion designers and retailers, along with their models, to show you what’s unique and festive for Derby, Easter, and Spring in General. Champagne, finger foods, sweets, great music, all wrapped up in the splendor that is the Shrewsbury-Windle House.

The Christmas Tea at the Shrewsbury-Windle House was great! It’s such a great way to enjoy the house. Paradise Cove Catering created a gorgeous feast, and Yvonne Davis treated us all to a lovely concert. Thanks for coming, everybody; see you at the next one in February!

Hey, do you know someone who collects the Madison series of Christmas ornaments? Proceeds benefit good causes, and this year the Shrewsbury-Windle House is one of those good causes! If you look through the open entry door on the ornament, you’ll see Costigan’s famous spiral staircase! You can get these at the HMI offices, 501 West Street (corner of West & Third, lower level), between 10 am and 4 pm, M - F. Limited supply.

Tickets to the Christmas Tea at the Shrewsbury-Windle House are available online via Eventbrite and at our offices, 500 West St. It’s a great way to celebrate the season with friends and family!
Check out the flier here - you can save $10 per ticket if you purchase right away! The tea room is wheelchair-accessible, and a tour of the house is included with your ticket.
