Beat the heat and save energy this summer!

Raise your thermostat a few degrees when possible and make sure to replace dirty/clogged filters so your system runs efficiently. Use smaller appliances instead of the oven to keep extra heat out of the kitchen and remember to close blinds during the hottest times of the day.

Simple actions can lead to significant savings this summer. 😎☀️

Last week, electric cooperative leaders from across the United States gathered in Washington, D.C. to advocate for policies that strengthen our communities and improve service for consumer-members.

Representatives from Tri-County Electric Cooperative met with
Congressman Neal Dunn, M.D.'s staff, as well as Senator Rick Scott and Senator Ashley Moody , to emphasize the electric cooperatives’ support of H.R. 4669, The FEMA Act, which is a comprehensive bill revamping many aspects of FEMA while keeping the agency intact.

Cooperatives also urged congressional leaders to oppose policies that could increase electricity costs for consumer-members, Permitting Reform, and the necessity of the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) loan program. We greatly appreciate their time.

Our commitment remains unwavering—co-op leaders will continue advocating for safe, reliable, and affordable electricity for the communities we serve.
