Yesterday, Owen from our team spent time with the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association at their Summer Conference! He showcased our new online process for submitting seals and signatures, making an important task with our office easier, more secure, and more efficient.

We're excited to continue modernizing our services and providing Wisconsin's Registers of Deeds with innovative tools that simplify their work while maintaining the highest standards of security and authentication. On June 17, 1905, Wisconsin established its civil service system under Governor Robert “Fighting Bob” La Follette. For 121 years, Wisconsin’s civil servants have provided the expertise, dedication, and institutional knowledge that keep government running and serving communities across our state.

Today, we recognize the public employees who have carried forward this tradition of service and reaffirm our commitment to a professional, nonpartisan civil service that will continue to serve Wisconsinites for generations to come.

Today, I met with Pastor Marcus Allen to learn more about the services and programs offered through MTZ Charitable Organization and the vision for the future MTZ Family Life Center.

Through its community programs, MTZ Charitable Organization supports residents of all ages by providing academic enrichment for school-age youth, improving access to healthy food, offering mental health and wellness services, and having programs and activities for older adults.

The Family Life Center will provide a permanent and dedicated home for these programs, bringing together resources such as after-school programming, mental health support, food assistance, and adult services under one roof.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about the organization's work and its commitment to strengthening the community and expanding access to vital services for families in the area.

Strong communities need strong infrastructure, reliable public services, and investments that prepare them for the future. Through BCPL's State Trust Fund Loan Program, local governments across Wisconsin can access affordable financing for critical community projects.

Since I became Chair in 2019, BCPL has approved more than 1,100 State Trust Fund loans totaling over $678 million for projects across Wisconsin.

From replacing aging water infrastructure and purchasing fire trucks to expanding broadband access, improving roads, investing in renewable energy, supporting housing development, and strengthening public safety services, these investments are helping communities across our state build for the future.
