If your state Hunting Season is still open and you have the ability and the tag to harvest a "Bully" buck. Now is the perfect time! Older, mature bucks have established dominance years ago and it is important to remove some of them to allow the younger up and comers the opportunity to become the dominant in your area while also keeping them on your property. Alot of these bucks will run together in velvet and tolerate each other in the summer. Once velvet is removed and bucks begin to break up out of their bachelor groups, your target buck may just be the one that leaves or is pushed out. Allowing your neighbor to harvest your trophy.
I have seen this play out multiple times and unfortunately it is has happened to me.
