After a great deal of discussion, the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has made the difficult decision not to host the fireworks show this year.

We know this news will be disappointing for many, and it is for us as well.

For years, the fireworks show has created special memories for families and visitors alike. However, after operating at a financial loss for several years and facing continued increases in the cost of fireworks and event production, the event is no longer financially sustainable.

While this was not an easy decision, it is a necessary one. Looking ahead, we remain committed to investing our time and resources into events and initiatives that bring people together, attract visitors to Madison, support our local businesses, and strengthen our community.

We sincerely thank the sponsors, volunteers, attendees, and community members who have helped make the fireworks show possible over the years. Your support has meant a great deal, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this difficult transition.

For those looking to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks, we are currently compiling a list of public fireworks shows taking place throughout the area and will share that information as it becomes available.

After a month of burgers, votes, and friendly competition, Nunda Bar & Grill rose to the top and earned this year’s championship title. Their burger captured the attention—and taste buds—of Burger Brawl participants, helping them claim the ultimate bragging rights for 2026.

A huge thank you to all 12 participating restaurants for bringing incredible burgers, creativity, and community spirit to this year’s event. And thank you to everyone who got out, tried burgers, and cast their votes throughout the month.
