The Hopkins County Young Professionals visited the MPRTC today for a tour of the facility. Information was discussed on how the MPRTC is providing training to law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth. We appreciate this opportunity to share our progress. Thanks for the visit!

The Madisonville Police Department would like to thank Earl Nelson from Wayside Christian Mission for coming from Louisville, KY to share his testimony with our officers and the Citizens Police Academy. Earl is a former resident of Hopkins County who has dedicated his life over the past five years to sobriety and has a passion for helping others maintain sobriety. We were truly humbled by Earl’s story and we are thankful that he shared it with us. Our Department is dedicated to helping the entire community, “one day at a time!”

Here is a quick progress update on the Madisonville Police Department Regional Training Complex. Construction is still underway and training has begun.

Our facility is now scheduling training for 2024 and 2025 utilizing our primary and secondary training classrooms, TI Training Corp simulator, tactical shoot-house, and defensive tactics gym.
