A dangerous heatwave is expected all week, with daily heat index values of 100-106 degrees beginning today. Major heat impacts are likely during the latter half of the week due to the long duration.

A Heat Advisory is in effect today through Friday for the entire Quad State area, due to a prolong heatwave. Temperatures will be in the upper 90s to around 100 with heat index values approaching 105 degrees!

Another heat wave is on track to begin today, with daily heat index values of 100+ degrees beginning Monday. Major heat impacts are likely during the latter half of the week due to the long duration.

A multi-day heat event is expected to cause a major heat risk to our area by next week. The chance for major heat risk occurring by Wednesday is over 80%. What does major heat risk mean? It means anyone without effective cooling or hydration will be susceptible to heat illness! Stay hydrated and beat the heat.
