Today, KSP honors the memory of Trooper Eric K. Chrisman, who lost his life in the line of duty on this date in 2015. He was fatally injured in a vehicle collision while en route to a reckless driving complaint on US 62 in Livingston County. He was 23-years-old and assigned to Post 1 in Mayfield.

Trooper Chrisman is buried at Sand Spring Baptist Cemetery in Anderson County. In honor of his service and sacrifice, KY 326 in Anderson County was designated the “Trooper Eric K. Chrisman Memorial Highway."

Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 Dispatch received an online crime tip on April 11, 2026 alleging that Golden Phoenix Spa, located in Oak Grove, Kentucky, was offering sexual services in exchange for money.

Following an investigation, KSP detectives executed a search warrant at the business on June 19, 2026. During the search, detectives located items commonly associated with sexual activity inside the establishment.

Two female employees were arrested and charged with Prostitution and Engaging in Organized Crime. During the operation, one of the employees attempted to flee on foot from law enforcement and was subsequently apprehended. She was additionally charged with Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree.

A male customer was also located inside a room within the business. The individual was found n**e and told investigators he had previously paid for a sexual act at the establishment. Detectives also located items associated with sexual activity on his person, this customer was also arrested and charged.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 in Madisonville is investigating a shooting incident in Todd County that resulted in the deaths of two females.

On June 20, 2026, KSP was contacted by Todd County Dispatch and requested to assist with a shooting investigation near the 600 block of Gates Road in Elkton, Kentucky.

A preliminary investigation indicates that Elvis Belcher, 69, of Elkton, Kentucky, is responsible for the shooting deaths of Denise Bullion, 53, of Elkton, Kentucky, and Jacqueline Bullion, 36, of Elkton, Kentucky. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Todd County Coroner.

Following the incident, Belcher was located nearby suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, for medical treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing by KSP Post 2 Detectives. Detective Kirby Broadbent is the lead investigator.

While returning home from a Boy Scout meeting, a local father and his son observed me engaged in a foot pursuit of a fleeing subject. Recognizing the circumstances and without hesitation, they stopped and offered their assistance. They transported me back to my patrol vehicle, enabling me to quickly regain access to my equipment and continue the search. I am sincerely grateful for their assistance and extend my heartfelt appreciation for their selfless actions and readiness to help when it mattered most. Their willingness to step forward in a time of need reflects the very best of our communities and serves as an example of the positive partnerships that exist between citizens and law enforcement.

Last week, KSP Post 2’s Captain, Lieutenant, Detectives, Special Response Team, and Electronic Crime Branch joined together at the Muhlenberg County Fair in support of the community and Special Needs Day.

We are always grateful for opportunities like these😀

Some photos are cool because they look good.

Some photos matter because of who is in them.

This one falls into that second category.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with the Kentucky State Police and create an image that captures a small piece of what service looks like. The vehicles are impressive. The equipment is impressive. But what stands out to me are the people behind it all and the commitment it takes to do a job that most people will never fully understand.

And then there's K-9 Cam.

Front and center. Completely stealing the spotlight from every trooper, investigator, supervisor, and specialized vehicle in the frame.

As he should.

Regardless of where you stand on the conversations surrounding law enforcement these days, there are still men and women putting on the uniform every day, answering calls, making difficult decisions, and carrying responsibilities most of us never have to think about.

I appreciate the Kentucky State Police for allowing Vision Studios to document this moment and tell part of that story.

And I think we can all agree that Cam knew this was his photo long before the rest of us figured it out.
