Magna Water District Magna Water District provides water and sewer services to customers in Magna & portions of WVC & SLC Magna Water: Celebrating 70 years of Service.

On July 7, 1949, the Magna Water District was formed by a resolution of the Board of Salt Lake County Commissioners, as was the Magna Water Board respectively. The Magna Water Board of Trustees is the Governing body for the District and is made up of a three member board elected by our customers to serve a four year term. Since it's formation, Magna Water has been servicing the needs of its custom

ers for culinary (drinking) water and sewer services. It has grown from a few hundred connections to more than 8,900 connections. The District continues to master plan to address the growing needs of its population including expansion of a secondary water system to control culinary capital costs and to enhance water conservation efforts. Innovation and responsible thinking make it possible for the District to create long term water resources and supply. As an approved water supplier, the District meets or exceeds all local, state, and federal mandates and remains current on industry trends and advancements. Magna Water is a technologically advanced water supplier and wastewater treatment district whose number one priority is satisfying the supply and demand of a growing population and providing optimal customer service to our water users.

MWD Water Picture April 2026

This year is different. With record-breaking warmth and low snowpack, we’ve all felt it. Conserving water matters more than ever—and one simple way we can help is by waiting a little longer to water outdoors.

Did you know 60% of our drinking water goes towards landscapes? 🌱 Right now, soil moisture is high, so lawns and established plants don’t need extra water. By waiting to water, we’re saving water today and protecting our supply for next year. Every drop we hold back helps our community when we need it most… and this is something we all can control.

Jordan Valley Water is asking everyone—homeowners, businesses, and government—to wait until May 15th to water outdoors.

Waiting now helps:
• Build stronger, more resilient roots
• Keep our community’s water supply healthy
• Save millions of gallons for when it really counts

Join us in waiting to water outdoors. 💧 Life is better with water.
