The Magnolia River Water Watch team has posting their Magnolia River water testing results for Bemis Bay and the Cold Hole. Have a great weekend!

The Magnolia River Water Watch Team recently completed bacteria monitoring at Bemis Bay and Cold Hole.
Water testing was conducted on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who continue to protect and preserve this treasured natural resource through weekly monitoring this summer.

🛺 GOLF CART PERMITS EXPIRE SEPTEMBER 30!

2025–2026 Town of Magnolia Springs golf cart permits expire at the end of September!

Make sure to stop by Town Hall to renew your permit for the upcoming year.

✅ Renewals: No inspection required.
🔍 New Permits: An inspection by Deputy Bridges is required.

What about LSVs?
LSV (Low-Speed Vehicle) golf carts do not need a Town-issued golf cart permit if they are registered with the State of Alabama.

If your LSV is not registered with the State, you must have a Town golf cart permit to operate it on Town roads.

A big thank you to the Baldwin Alliance for highlighting Magnolia Springs and some of the exciting projects happening in our community!

We’re proud of the progress being made while continuing to preserve the character that makes Magnolia Springs such a special place to call home.

Municipality Highlight: Magnolia Springs 🌳

Economic development is about creating opportunities for business growth while also increasing the quality of life for residents.

The Town of Magnolia Springs is doing both with several exciting projects taking shape, including a future Greer’s Market, a new Town Center, and efforts to restore the springs that inspired the town’s name.

The future Magnolia Springs Town Center will create a walkable destination for locally owned shops, restaurants, and community gathering spaces, adding new opportunities for residents, visitors, and small businesses alike.

We’re excited to see these community investments come to life and contribute to the continued growth of Magnolia Springs and Baldwin County.

There is only one town in the United States that receives its mail year-round by boat. So, it’s easy to grasp the appreciation the Magnolia Springs community has for its waterway. The postal practice dates back to 1916 and is still going strong more than a 100 years later, except now it’s done with a tiller outboard on an aluminum Jon boat loaded with crates of stamped mail, idling along the mailboxes perched on the docks.

Robert Turner has been residing in Magnolia Springs for more than 32 years. He’s served on the town council for the past five years. Turner had seen the Baykeeper SWIM reports and had attended a neighboring Wolf Bay Water Watch meeting. “Baykeeper drew my attention to the testing aspect,” he says, “and I knew of other water-watch groups, so I decided I wanted to get involved and keep an eye on our own watershed.”

That decision led Turner to resurrect the “Magnolia River Alabama Water Watch” organization, a group that had not been in operation for roughly 15 years.

The Magnolia Springs Planning Commission will hold two public hearings during its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, regarding proposed amendments to the Town’s development regulations.

Governor Kay Ivey has announced that the Town of Magnolia Springs has been awarded $2 MILLION in GOMESA funding for the Magnolia Springs Town Center!

This incredible investment will help move our Town Center project forward, creating space for municipal operations and community gathering for years to come.

We are so thankful to Governor Kay Ivey, Commissioner Chris Blankenship, Senator Chris Elliott, and the entire Baldwin County Legislative Delegation for their support!
