Please be informed that a State Auditor, Margaret Pace, with the Arkansas Assessment Coordination Division will be conducting random field inspections in Columbia County on Wednesday, July 15th, Thursday, July 16th, and Monday, July 20th. The general area she will be working in are Magnolia City, Emerson City, and outskirts of Emerson along Hwy 98 and Columbia Rd 85 South.
AACD is a state agency who has the responsibility to provide quality assurance regarding the work of all county assessors in Arkansas.
If you see her, she will be wearing a badge and an Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration seal will be on her vehicle.

** Update**

This is a message from DFA regarding the emails sent out regarding the email saying there was a vehicle registration issue.

Due to a system issue, an outdated assessment-related notification was sent in error to roughly 58,000 ARStar users across all 75 counties.

This issue has now been resolved and new emails sent out explaining.

**Attention**
If you are receiving an email that is titled Vehicle Registration Issue and it is coming from an email of [email protected] saying, "there was an error processing your county property assessment, which affects your ability to renew your vehicle registration." - this is a Scam! This is not from the Assessor's Office. This scam is happening across Arkansas. Please call our office if you have any concern.
[Please share this notice to prevent further fraudulent activity.]
