Former Mississippi State Senator Kelvin Butler has made a generous contribution in support of Mayor Marvin Brumfield’s efforts to restore and revitalize the City of Magnolia.

This generous donation is being made with a heart to help others and support the restoration of the City’s ball parks, creating better recreational spaces and opportunities for the children and families of Magnolia.

This contribution represents more than financial support—it is an investment in the community and in the future of our children.

Mayor Marvin Brumfield continues to lead the charge to provide the South Pike Girls Softball Team with a place they can proudly call home! ⚾🥎

Mayor Brumfield recently met with South Pike School District Athletic Director Coach Bill Harris, City Administrator Mr. Sydney Felder, and Recreation Director Mr. Edward Johnson to discuss the necessary steps and proper guidelines for creating a dedicated home for the Lady Eagles.

This collaborative effort is about more than a ball field—it’s about investing in our young people, supporting our student-athletes, and creating opportunities for the next generation to grow, compete, and succeed.

Mayor Brumfield and his team are committed to following the proper procedures and working together with the school district to make this vision a reality.

This remarkable milestone represents 200 years of faith, perseverance, service, and impact in the Magnolia community. The anniversary is not simply a celebration of the past—it is a reminder of the church’s continued responsibility to serve God, strengthen families, encourage the community, and help shape the future.

Mayor Brumfield and Attorney Hampton were honored to join the congregation in celebrating this historic occasion and recognizing the faithful generations who helped build and sustain this great church.

A COURAGEOUS MOVE FOR MAGNOLIA — STANDING ON BUSINESS!

After only a few months in office, Mayor Marvin Brumfield made a bold decision: Magnolia would take control of its own garbage collection!

The City purchased a trash detail truck and empowered the Public Works Department to collect the City’s trash—putting Magnolia in the driver’s seat when it comes to serving its citizens.

And OH BOY… DID IT PAY OFF!

This courageous decision is producing major benefits for the City of Magnolia:

✅ Saving the City money
✅ Eliminating the need for outside contractual garbage collection services
✅ Allowing Magnolia citizens to keep their own personal garbage cans
✅ Giving the City greater control over its sanitation services
✅ Creating a stronger, more self-sufficient Public Works operation

Mayor Marvin Brumfield, along with the Board of Aldermen and Alderwomen, took a calculated risk—and it has proven to be an EPIC WIN for the City of Magnolia!

Sometimes leadership means having the courage to look at the way things have always been done and say, “There is a better way.”

Mayor Brumfield saw an opportunity to save taxpayer dollars, improve city services, and bring the responsibility back home to the people who serve Magnolia every day.

That is leadership.
That is accountability.
That is courage.
That is STANDING ON BUSINESS!
