The Columbia County Conservation District Office will be closed Friday, May 15, 2026 through Monday, May 25, 2026. If you need assistance you may call the office at 870-235-5270 to leave a message, email [email protected], or call the Lewisville NRCS Office at 870-921-4865 extension 3. If you need to purchase plat books or maps, they are available at the Columbia County Judge's Office on the first floor of the Court House.

📢USDA Announces $32.4 Million in Grant Funding📢

Yesterday, The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that $32.4 million in grant funding will be available through the Local Agriculture Market Program (LAMP) to help local and regional food entities develop, coordinate, and expand producer-to-consumer marketing, local and regional food markets, and local food enterprises.

LAMP includes the Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP), Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP), and the Regional Food System Partnerships (RFSP). USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is accepting applications for the grant programs until June 5, 2026.

SAU Agriculture will host their annual spring plant sale on Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM. The pricing is as follows:
Hanging baskets: $10
6 packs of flowering annuals and vegetables: $2

4" pots of citronella, lipstick plant, alsobia, geraniums: $5
6" pots coleus, ornamental sweet potato: $4
