On 05/13/2026 at approximately 7:00 a.m., Sheriff Wally Jones, along with investigators and deputies of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and investigators from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Christopher Scott Landrum of McComb, Mississippi, on one count of Sexual Battery and one count of Enticing a Minor Child while located in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff Jones stated:

“I’ve been very clear to anybody who has criminal intentions in Pike County, especially those who target children — you do not have a safe haven in Pike County. If we are made aware of a case, we will do everything we can to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. No matter where you are located, we will come get you and bring you back to Pike County where you will be held accountable for your actions.”

Sheriff Jones would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of the investigators of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office who worked on this case.

“I’m extremely proud to walk beside each and every one of these men and women and call them my friends,” stated Sheriff Jones.

Sheriff Jones would also like to thank Sheriff Martin Pace and the investigators and deputies of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for their outstanding assistance with this case.

“My hat is off to each and every member of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for their help. I would also like to tell the citizens of Warren County that you have an outstanding sheriff and sheriff’s department that is dedicated to keeping your community safe.” Sheriff Jones added.

In closing, Sheriff Jones asks that if there are any additional victims related to this case, please come forward and contact the Pike County Sheriff’s Office. We understand that victims are often afraid to come forward for many reasons, but we promise to do everything possible to protect every victim and ensure justice is pursued for them and their families.

Again, Sheriff Wally Jones thanks the citizens of Pike County, Mississippi, for the opportunity to serve this community and carry out this job effectively.

“It is truly an honor to serve the great people of Pike County.”
