Today Company No. 1 had the order of 1200 total feet of 5 inch delivered.

Over the course of the next couple weeks, the members will break it in by flowing water through it, then packing it on the engine.

Today right before 0700, Schuylkill County Communications dispatched a reported structure fire at 117 N John St in Girardville borough.

48-10 responded as part of the RIT assignment, while on the road Captain 45-2 held the box to just himself as it was found to be a campfire in a backyard.

Today at 13:22 hrs, 48RIT was due to 721 West Pine Dr as apart of the 1st alarm for a reported structure fire in company 4-4’s area.

48-10 went responding and was given the additional of a rear deck on fire. Engines 48-12, 4-19 and truck company 43-20 also went responding.

Deputy 4-4 and Engine 4-19 arrived with a small amount of fire on the banister of the rear, and holding the box to engine 4-19 with deputy Chief 4-4 holding the command.

On 06/03/2026 and 06/04/2026, Engine 48-10, Engine 48-15, and Ladder 48-25 responded to 5 White Owl Dr for a reported fire alarm 3 total times.

Engine Co. 1 arrived on scene with the first due engine assignment all three times and secured their own water.

The engine company investigated, two of the fire alarms were by pull station, and one was caused by steam.

On 06/02/2026, Engine Company #1 was requested for RIT to 455 Phineyville Rd for a 2nd alarm working house fire.

The engine company arrived on scene and provided RIT on the Alpha/Delta corner, and the engine company officer conducted a 360 for the rest of the crew.

Company #1 provided RIT for approximately 2 hours before being placed available.

On 06/02/2026, the engine company was added onto a vehicle accident with entrapment on I81 North at the 127 mile marker in place of company 26 (Ryan Township) while they where operating a first due working house fire.

Engine 48-10 and Rescue/Engine 43-10 arrived simultaneously with a vehicle on its side into the guardrail.

The Engine company stretched the bumper line and assisted 43 and Rescue 68 with extrication and stabilization.

On 05/30/2026 Mahanoy City RIT (ENG48-10, ENG48-12) was dispatched to 240 South Wylam St in Altamont, Company 36-5’s area, for a working garage fire.

Mahanoy city RIT was returned while en route.

On 05/29/2026, Schuylkill County Communications dispatched the Mahanoy City FD for a reported structure fire at 123 East Pine St.

ENG48-10 and TRK48-25 went responding simultaneously, the additional from county was a report of smoke filling the house.

48-10 held the first due engine assignment, 48-25 held first due truck, both companies investigated to find a faulty oil burner.

C48-1 held the Pine St command and held the box to ENG48-10 and TRK48-25.
