Scam Alert — Unauthorized Use of Company Name

It has come to the attention of Mahwah Fire Rescue Company 1 that individuals are impersonating the department using unauthorized accounts to advertise and sell merchandise, including t-shirts, without permission. These accounts and posts have no affiliation with Mahwah Fire Rescue Company 1.

Do not click any links associated with these posts or provide payment information. The fraudulent accounts have been blocked, the associated comments removed, and the matter has been reported to the Mahwah Police Department.

Any merchandise, fundraising, or apparel offers from Mahwah Fire Rescue Company 1 will only be posted through our official pages. If you have questions about the legitimacy of a post, please message the page directly before making a purchase.

Saturday afternoon, Rescue Company 1, Fire Companies 2, and 4, along with Mahwah EMS and Police, responded to Route 287 for a reported overturned truck with entrapment.

Upon arrival, first due units confirmed a truck had rolled over with the driver self-extricated prior to arrival.

Rescue 1's crew immediately worked to secure the overturned vehicle’s batteries and also began to mitigate a fluid spill from the damaged vehicle. Fire Company 2 provided additional absorbent materials to assist with the fluid spill, while Company 4 provided additional manpower and worked alongside Mahwah EMS to treat the injured parties on scene before they were transported to local hospitals.

All units operated for approximately one hour before returning to quarters.

Last night, the membership of fire Rescue company one took delivery of our brand new Rescue Support Vehicle, RS-1.

A 2026 Ford / Ward Apparatus, this vehicle will carry a good amount of firefighting and rescue tools enhancing our capabilities. It will also be used to tow our boats and trailers.

We would like to thank our truck committee for their work designing a vehicle that will serve our Company and residents for many years to come.

We would also like to thank the Township Council, Mayor, and Administration for their support in funding the RS and all of its new equipment.

As the Township's Rescue Company, having a state of the art apparatus and top tier equipment is paramount for us to help the public at fires, emergencies, and technical rescues.
