33 years ago today, the Hamilton Township Police Department officially began its journey.
On September 1, 1993, the first eight police officers of the Hamilton Township Police Department were sworn in by State Representative George Terwilliger, marking the beginning of professional law enforcement services in Hamilton Township.
From those first eight officers to the department we have today, HTPD has continued to grow, evolve, and serve the residents of Hamilton Township with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.
Today, we were honored to have several past Hamilton Township Police Officers join us for a luncheon celebrating and honoring their years of service to Hamilton Township. These men and women helped build the foundation of the department and played an
important role in making HTPD what it is today.
We are grateful for their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to our community. Once a member of the HTPD family, always a member of the HTPD family.
A special thank you to the Hamilton Township Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (HTCPAAA) for making this special event possible and for helping us recognize those who proudly served our community.
