--SPECIAL NOTICE--
Effective as of August 31, 2020, there is a vacancy on the Village of Maineville Council. Yesterday, Roger Bingham provided his written resignation of his village council position vacating the remainder of his Council term effective August 31, 2020. Any Village of Maineville resident interested in filling the remainder of his term, ending on December 31, 2021, should submit a letter of interest to Mayor Bob Beebe, and deliver it to Village Hall or submit electronically at [email protected] by noon on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. The letter should include information about the applicant, reasons why they would like to serve on Village Council, valid contact information and any other information thought to be helpful in the selection process. All applicants must be residents of the Village of Maineville for at least one year, and must be an elector of the village. In accordance with state law, no member of the village council can hold any other public office, be interested in any contract with the village, or hold employment with the village, except as permitted by law.
Village Council will discuss the letters of interest at the Council meeting on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 7pm and decide how to fill the vacancy.
