The Blood Drive has begun!

Walk-ins are welcome. Stop in now until 7PM tonight to help save a life.

Nebraska Community Blood Bank has declared a Blood Emergency as of 7/9/2026. This is the first time in their history that a blood emergency has been declared twice in a single summer.

We've made a lot of headway in registered donors since registration first opened, but there is still plenty of space left!

Whether you are a regular or a first timer, everyone is needed to build up supply. Lets come together as a community to make this drive a success!

"Blood inventory has fallen to approximately 2.0 days of supply—the lowest level since the COVID-19 pandemic. Every successful blood drive over the next several days will help ensure blood is available for trauma victims, cancer patients, children, individuals living with sickle cell disease and thalassemia, transplant recipients, and patients undergoing emergency surgery."

Exciting news from Malcolm Fire and Rescue!

In February 2023, we received a $75,000 ARPA grant that we could use to purchase a new ambulance. After months of meticulously designing the exact specifications for our new squad, we finally placed our order in December 2023.

Just last month, our new ambulance arrived in Nebraska for final touches and approval. As of July 1st, Squad 11 has been put into service and will serve as our primary unit, while Squad 10 will operate as our secondary unit.

EMS incidents account for approximately 80% of our calls of service. Therefore, having a second ambulance will enhance our ability to better serve our district and neighboring communities that may require our assistance.

Squad 11 was funded through the ARPA grant, along with revenue generated from hospital transports since we began ambulance services in 2013.

We would like to express our gratitude to Osage Ambulances and North Central Emergency Vehicles for their invaluable support in this project.

Join us this weekend for the 4th of July Parade to witness Squad 11 leading the way!

The warm weather didn’t stop us from getting out for a joint training last night with Pleasant Dale Fire and Rescue. Training together ensures seamless coordination and more effective response during mutual aid incidents.
