Hard work pays off! 🏗️ Our concrete crew has been busy all summer long, and today they wrapped up another successful sidewalk repair in Ward 4 by the Malden DPW.

Jobs like these come with unique challenges—especially working right alongside residents' fragile retaining walls. It takes absolute precision and skilled removal of damaged panels by our operators to ensure those properties stay completely safe and untouched.

It’s a slow, meticulous process, but getting it done right for our community is always worth it in the end! 🧱 sidewalks

🚧 STREET MILLING NOTICE🚧

Street milling is scheduled to begin Monday, August 3rd, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

During milling operations, no on-street parking or street access will be available on the affected streets between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Please plan accordingly.

🚧 Milling Schedule:

Monday, August 3
• Cross St — Main St to Henry St

Tuesday, August 4
• Cross St — Main St to Henry St
• Fuller St — Ashland St to Cross St
• Ashland St — High St to Fuller St

Wednesday, August 5
• Completion of the above streets, if needed, or work delayed due to weather

⚠️ Please Note:
• The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather. If work is delayed, it will continue the following day.
• Notices will be provided to all abutters.
• Police details will be on-site to assist with traffic.
• Traffic detours will be in place and delays are expected. Please seek alternate routes.**
• No parking or street access will be permitted on the affected streets during construction hours.

The work will be completed by D & R General Contracting, Inc.

Due to staffing issues, Republic Services is experiencing delays with yard waste pickup.

If your normal collection day is Thursday or Friday, please leave your yard waste curbside. Crews are scheduled to be in the city on Saturday to get caught up.
