Join us for Summer Movie Night on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 6:00-8:15pm. We will be showing the classic 1993 film that is based on the book, Jurassic Park, by Michael Crichton. The film stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum and it is directed by Steven Spielberg.

“This epic film is sheer movie-making magic that was 65 million years in the making. Jurassic Park takes you to an amazing theme park on a remote island where dinosaurs once again roam the earth and five people must battle to survive among the prehistoric predators.”

Rated PG-13 (127 min.) (1993)

We will have a fun movie-themed raffle. Free snacks will be provided. Movie times are approximate.

TONIGHT: Please join us for Movie Night on Wednesday, June 17, 2026: 6:00-8:00pm at the Malden Public Library. We will be showing the remake of the 1993 film, “The Wedding Banquet.” This 2025 remake stars Bowen Yang, Lily Gladstone, Kelly Marie Tran, Han Gi-Chan, Joan Chen, and Youn Yuh-Jung.

“Angela and her partner Lee have been unlucky with their IVF treatments but can't afford to pay for another round. Meanwhile their friend Min, the closeted scion of a multinational corporate empire, has plenty of family money but a soon-to-expire student visa. When his commitment-phobic boyfriend Chris rejects his proposal, Min makes the offer to Angela instead: a green card marriage in exchange for funding Lee's IVF. To celebrate the World Cup, our referee has been keeping a close eye on library misconduct. We make library cards AND hand out yellow and red cards. 🪪 Sneaking into staff-only areas? 🟨 Fighting over books? 🟥 That's a penalty!
