Every two years, Junior Aid has the honor of distributing the funds raised to organizations that share in our mission of serving women, children, and health‑related initiatives within our community.

Under the leadership of President Helen Kipnis and the hard work of 40 dedicated members, our organization was able to distribute $42,000 this term.

Thank you to our 2026 Grant Night and Installation of Officers hostess, Past President Susan Higgins, and to co‑hostesses Merited Past Presidents Debbie DeMaria and Debbie Hardy, for creating a remarkable evening at Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham.

Surrounded by local school teachers, nonprofit leaders, and hospital professionals who champion women, children, and community health every single day, we proudly recognize this year’s grant recipients:

• Forestdale School PTO
• Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Housing Families, Inc.
• Malden Overcoming Addiction
• Malden Warming Center
• McLean Hospital
• MLF Forever19, Inc.
• Ruth’s Way for Women
• The Children’s Room

We also installed Junior Aid’s new Board of Directors for 2026–2028, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for our organization.

We are incredibly proud to announce Jaclyn Rosa as Junior Aid’s new President. Her dedication, heart, and leadership will guide us into another meaningful term of service to women, children, and health initiatives in our community.

Big news! We are beyond grateful to the Junior Aid Association of Malden for their incredibly generous grant! Their support means the world to us and to everyone we serve in the fight against substance use disorder. Paul Hammersley, Dana Brown, and Dave Allan were there to celebrate and accept — and we couldn't be more excited about what this means for our community!

This incredible nonprofit is dedicated to equipping Shawsheen Tech’s plumbing students with the essential tools and resources they need to launch successful careers. Their mission is meaningful, their impact is real, and we’re honored to support the work they’re doing for the next generation of tradespeople.
