HISTORY MADE! The Mystic Valley Boys Tennis Team is headed to the Final Four of the MIAA State Tournament! 🎾🦅🏆

With a dominant 4–1 victory over Lenox in Thursday's Elite Eight matchup, the Eagles became the first varsity team in school history to advance to the Final Four of an MIAA State Tournament. This landmark achievement marks a historic moment for Mystic Valley Athletics and is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of this exceptional team.

Congratulations, Eagles, and best of luck as you continue your pursuit of a state championship. Bring on the Final Four!

🏃‍♀️🎉 Congratulations to Lucia Antonucci on an outstanding performance at the MIAA Division 6 State Track & Field Championships!
🏅 4th Place – 400-Meter Dash (Personal Record: 1:00.11)
🏅 11th Place – 100-Meter Dash (13.26)

Lucia's fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash and personal-best time of 1:00.11 earned her a qualifying spot in the MIAA Meet of Champions at Merrimack College. There, she will compete against the top athletes from every division across the Commonwealth while proudly representing Mystic Valley on one of the state's biggest stages. Congratulations, Lucia, on an incredible season and an outstanding State Championship performance. Good luck this weekend at the Meet of Champions! 🦅

What a day for our students. Secretary McMahon came to see Direct Instruction Reading at Mystic Valley, and our classrooms delivered.

In the early grades, she watched Mrs. Levine's and Ms. Kallelis's small-group instruction focused on decoding, the careful, sound-by-sound work that gives young students their foundation. She followed the program into Grade 2 with Ms. Gregorio and Grade 3 with Ms. Simonton, where students take on real reading comprehension and put those early skills to work. Students are grouped by ability and taught to mastery here, so no one moves ahead until the material is secure.

Then the Secretary met five of our High School Senior Ambassadors, all from the Class of 2026, ranked first in the state on the average of High School MCAS ELA, Math, and Science: Khloe Co, Britney Nayiga, Naomi Tessema, Nathan Tessema, and Kevin Sodeyama-Cardoso. A sharp, impressive group, and they made us proud.

Days like this remind us how good our students are. We could not be prouder of them.

ELITE 8 BOUND! For the third straight year, the Mystic Valley Boys Tennis team has earned a spot in the MIAA Division 4 Elite 8! The Eagles will host Lenox today at 3:30 p.m. as they look to keep their championship run alive. Come out and support the team as they battle for a spot in the Final Four! Go Eagles! 🦅🎾

Yesterday, Mystic Valley had the honor of welcoming U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to campus.

Director/Superintendent Alexander J. Dan and members of the leadership team greeted the Secretary before walking her through several Lower School classrooms, including a Grade 5 history lesson and Direct Instruction Reading in Grades 1, 2, and 3.

Secretary McMahon saw students reading in unison, answering on cue, and moving through material with the focus, confidence, and pace that define Mystic Valley classrooms. What she observed was our mission in action: a world-class education built on a well-mannered, disciplined, and structured academic climate, grounded in the core virtues and founding ideals of American culture.

That work, along with Mystic Valley’s long record of academic success, is what drew this national attention to our school.

Congratulations to Mystic Valley’s Stacy Smith on being named the 2026 Cape Ann League Boys Tennis Coach of the Year! 🎾👏

This well-deserved honor recognizes the incredible leadership, dedication, and steady growth Coach Smith has brought to the Mystic Valley Boys Tennis program. Under her guidance, the Eagles developed into one of the top teams in the state, finishing the regular season with an impressive 10–4 record and earning the No. 2 seed in the MIAA power rankings.

Coach Smith’s passion, commitment, and ability to bring out the best in her student-athletes have helped elevate the program to new heights. Congratulations, Coach Smith, on an outstanding season and this tremendous achievement!
