The new school year is just around the corner, and thanks to the support of our community, children are starting the year with smiles!

Recently we distributed backpacks filled with essential school supplies to children in our afterschool and summer programs. Because of you, children will begin the year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Recently Natalia Restrepo, an Intensive Case Manager at Housing Families, visited a brand-new building where 16 formerly unhoused and housing insecure families moved into their new homes last month.

We are grateful to partner with The Neighborhood Developers to provide case management and support for these families as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Please join us in welcoming Kristyn Bogli to the Housing Families Board!

Kristyn is a biotech drug development professional focused on leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence. She is skilled at distilling large amounts of complex information into audience-specific, digestible insights. She holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business and a Master of Science in Project Management, both from Northeastern University.

For nearly 15 years, Kristyn has proudly called the vibrant and diverse city of Malden home. She believes healthcare and housing are fundamental human rights and is excited to further the mission of Housing Families as a Board member.

We're thrilled to have her expertise, passion, and community commitment on our Board and look forward to her contributions in support of our mission.

Last week’s Backpack Pack-a-Thon was a huge success! Thanks to our incredible volunteers, more than 500 backpacks were filled with school supplies for local children and teens heading back to school.

As school supply costs continue to rise, these backpacks help ease the burden on families and ensure students have the tools they need from day one.
