4/20 Santa Monica Mountains Prescribed Pile Burn 🔥🚒

A Prescribed Pile Burn is planned for Monday (4/20) in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Prescribed pile burns are effective tools in preventing large, destructive wildfires. These planned burns are carefully managed to reduce smoke impacts and improve wildland health.

Ready, Set, Register for the 9th Annual Girls’ Fire Camp!

Open to everyone between the ages of 10 to 17, the spring Girls’ Fire Camp will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Fire Department Headquarters located at 1320 N. Eastern Avenue, in the City of Los Angeles.

This one-day camp introduces participants to the basics of the fire service through hands-on interactions and impactful experiences with professional LACoFD firefighters, dispatchers, lifeguards, and other Department team members.
