No Mow May is officially OVER, time to mow your lawn!

June is here, which means it's time to fire up the mower and get those yards back in shape.
No Mow May gave our pollinators a much-needed boost, and now we can tidy things up for the summer ahead.

So get out there and mow!
Your neighbors will thank you. 😄

Spring Lawn Debris Pick Up

The Village of Malone DPW will begin spring clean up on April 27, 2026. The last day to place lawn debris at the curb is May 29, 2026.

As in years past, only lawn debris will be picked up.

If using bags, only biodegradable paper bags will be accepted. Bags should only contain natural lawn debris, and not household trash, animal f***s, sand, dirt or stones. Any bags found to contain any of the above-mentioned items will be left for the homeowner to dispose of properly.

Piles should be no longer than 4 feet in length and branches no more than 4 inches in diameter.

Any lumber, landscape timbers, large tree stumps, or block wood will not be picked up. Any concrete or stones will not be picked up. These items will be left for the homeowner to dispose of properly.

Thank you for your cooperation.

On behalf of the Village of Malone, the American Legion, and AMVETS, we are reaching out to invite your organization to be a part of something truly meaningful right here in our community, the updated Veterans Memorial Park (corner of Main Street & Elm Street).
This is a wonderful opportunity to show your organization's support for the men and women who have served our country, while also leaving a lasting legacy in the heart of Malone.

PERSONALIZED MEMORIAL BRICKS
Honor or remember a veteran with a custom engraved brick paver that will lead up to the Veterans Memorial. These bricks are available in two sizes:
• 4" x 8" — $50 (up to 3 lines of text)
• 8" x 8" — $85 (up to 5 lines of text)
• Add a military branch logo or clipart for just $20 more
Your organization could purchase a brick in honor of a veteran member, a founding member, or simply as a show of community pride and patriotism!

DEDICATION PARK LIGHTS — A SHINING LEGACY
We also have an extraordinary opportunity for organizations looking to make a more significant impact. For a donation of $2,500, your organization can sponsor a park light that will shine over the Veterans Memorial for the duration of the park, a permanent, glowing tribute to your generosity and commitment to our veterans.
Each park light sponsorship includes a commemorative plaque recognizing your organization's donation, ensuring your name will be seen by every visitor who comes to pay their respects for years to come.

(this light is very similar to the one we are looking to put in the park)

[cid:[email protected]]
Every dollar raised through bricks and lights goes directly toward helping the American Legion and AMVETS complete their portion of this incredible park project. The more support we receive from local organizations like yours, the sooner we can complete this tribute our veterans so deserve.

To place a brick order, please complete and return the enclosed order form with your payment to:
Village of Malone, 343 West Main St., Malone, NY 12953
(Please note "Village of Malone – Brick Campaign" on the memo line of your check)

For park light sponsorships or to learn more, please don't hesitate to contact Mayor Andrea Dums (518)-524-9514) or (518) 483-4570 or by email.

Thank you for your continued dedication to the Village of Malone community. Together, we can ensure our heroes are honored for generations to come.

With gratitude and respect,

Andrea Dumas
Village Mayor
