Signature Collection Procedures:

The Franklin County Republican Committee would like to take a moment to clarify our standard procedures for collecting petition signatures.

Our process begins with reaching out to family and friends who we’ve confirmed are registered Republicans. This helps us gather a majority of our signatures from supporters.

After that, our volunteers continue collecting signatures door-to-door, using a verified list of registered Republicans obtained directly from the Franklin County Board of Elections. When approaching residents, our volunteers will:

Introduce themselves and explain the purpose of the petition.
Confirm that your name appears on the county’s current list of registered Republicans to ensure all signatures collected are valid.
Can show the list upon request to verify your registration status.
Answer questions about the candidates or petitions being circulated.

In addition to personal outreach, we also host community events where supporters can stop by and sign petitions in person. If an event is coordinated by the Franklin County Republican Committee, it will be announced through our official channels, (Email and Facebook) and always held with the full permission of the hosting business.

If you have any questions regarding this process please feel free to reach out.

Want an easy and meaningful way to support local Republican candidates? 🇺🇸

Petitions are how candidates get enough signatures from registered Republicans to qualify for the ballot. It only takes a few minutes to sign! 📝

Several local candidates—people you know who want to work hard for our county—need your help to reach their signature goals.🖊️

Stop by Hosler’s this Saturday from 2–6 PM. Committee representatives will be there to answer any questions.

It’s also a great first step for young adult registered Republicans to learn about the election process and see how candidates get on the ballot—consider bringing the young Republicans in your family!

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR MEETING ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 25 HAS BEEN MOVED TO FEBRUARY 26 AT 6:00 PM.

(1) It’s petition season!Candidates who want their names to appear on the ballot need to gather a certain percentage of registered Republicans from the area they represent.
What that means:We have to gather hundreds of signatures from registered Republicans for dedicated candidates.
You could stop by our Republican Committee meeting and sign this Thursday at 6 PM.It would take just a few minutes, and as always, you are also welcome to stay for the meeting.
The only commitment is a few minutes to sign your name, and you will have helped the candidates.
(2) Help us gather signatures.
Leave with a petition and ask 20 of your registered Republican friends to sign.
(3) Senator Dan Stec has been a huge asset in representing our area! While his district spans hundreds of miles, he has a consistent presence in the North Country and has fought hard in Albany for the issues that matter most to us!
There will be a fundraising event at The Pines Tap and Table this Friday, February 27, from 4–8 PM.$25 per person will get you pizza, chicken wings, beverages, and the opportunity to meet with Dan as we support his upcoming campaign!
After meeting him and hearing his dedicated heart for his district, you can consider making a donation to his campaign.
