* Did you know that to be a volunteer, you don't have to specifically be the one who runs into the burning buildings?

* Did you know that volunteer firefighters receive benefits from New York State?

* Did you know that the training courses required for active duty can be used throughout your entire life and any career you may be interested in pursuing in the future?

* Did you know it costs NOTHING to volunteer?

* Did you know that the Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company costs less than half of the average New York State tax payers dish out for fire services per capita?

This past Wednesday, members of the Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company participated in a low-angle rescue training drill. This training provided an excellent opportunity for our members to develop new skills, reinforce existing techniques, and strengthen our ability to respond effectively to rescue incidents.
