The Hot Spring County Economic Development Corporation recently completed the “Prospect Ready Education Program” led by the Arkansas Economic Development Corporation. Kevin Sexton with the AEDC said, “Malvern is open for business…We are proud of Malvern.”

Special thanks to the Mayor Brenda Weldon, County Judge Dennis Thornton, Dr. Steve Rook, Mayor Darrel Hughes, Chamber of Commerce and EDC Board members for making this process a success. The education program spanned several months with careful evaluation of available building sites, infrastructure availability and needs, workforce, and the tremendous assets of Malvern’s location within the state and nation.

Rick McClure with the EDC said, “Getting local mayors, county judge, and other community leaders together on several occasions to talk about future of economic development in our area was a huge success.”
