Six new Ordeal members, six Elangomats, and one Lodge Vice Chief all made it through the Nor’Easter with spirit and cheer. All had a great time despite the wet ☔️and windy 💨 conditions.

When the happens twice in your life!
In July 1994, Josh Manney first experienced as a scout with Camptown (PA) Troop 4️⃣ with Five Rivers Council, BSA .

3️⃣2️⃣ years later, in June 2026, he returned… This time as an as adult leader through our very own Malvern (PA) Troop 7 with Chester County Council, BSA (along with his son, and others from Troop 7️⃣). He even has the photo 📸 to prove it, taken in the same spot on ⛰️!

When asked what was EXACTLY the same about years later, he replied, “The ranger!” - citing the rangers’ knowledge and helpfulness in setting up both crews for success.

Some guidance looking 👀 ahead - should scouts from the 2026 trek have the opportunity to be adult leaders in the future - Josh hopes that they continue to remain proud of their accomplishment this summer and the challenges they all overcame together.
