Malvern Parks & Recreation

Malvern Parks & Recreation Malvern has 3.0 acres of active parkland and over 40 acres of passive recreational parkland.

Our Parks and Recreation Department is managed by a Parks and Recreation Committee. They keep a calendar of those persons interested in making reservations at the public parks, arrange for seasonal entertainment in the park, and decorate the gazebo and large tree for the Christmas holiday season. The three principal park areas are highlighted below. Samuel & M. Elizabeth Burke Park Burke Park, just one block away from the Borough Hall, is 1.4 acres. It is used mainly for festivals, concerts and general recreation. The Gazebo and beautifully landscaped area are perfect for outdoor events. Theodore S.A. Rubino Memorial Park Rubino Park, our newest recreation area, has 15,000 square feet of play area with a Gazebo entrance. It has been a wonderful addition to the corner of Broad Street and Old Lincoln Highway. With recently added play equipment, the area is fenced in for child safety and provides a great place for picnics and children to play. The Horace J. Quann Memorial Park (formerly First Ave. Park) Horace J. Quann Memorial Park is 1.6 acres and is probably our most active recreation area. It supports baseball, basketball, and open space for volleyball and other activities. It is located at First and Warren Avenues, across from the Borough Hall. Randolph Woods Randolph Woods is a large passive recreation area accessed via Second and Ruthland Avenues. The wooded areas of this area contains a myriad of 'primitive trails' - unpaved packed - earth surfaces. These trails are well suited to walkers and hikers. It is possible to walk from the Borough to Willistown's Greentree Park through Randolph Woods.

Chester County Department of Emergency Services

Important message from the Chester County Health Department:
Spotted lanternfly (SLF) is an invasive insect present in Chester County and surrounding areas. SLF threatens agriculture, tree health and it is a nuisance pest. Chester County is within the SLF quarantine zone. Check for and remove SLF egg masses from late fall to early spring. Remember that egg masses may be underneath your car or in your wheel well. During all other times of the year, check for nymphs and adults, and keep your windows rolled up when you park. Don’t store things or park under infested trees, and do not transport firewood. Inspect your vehicle for SLF before traveling.
For more information and to learn how you can control SLF on your own property, visit https://extension.psu.edu/spotted-lanternfly-management-for-homeowners or call 1-888-4BAD-FLY.

Malvern has 3.0 acres of active parkland. Our Parks and Recreation Board maintains a calendar of those persons interested in making reservations at the public parks, arrange for summertime entertainment in the park, and decorate the gazebo and large tree for the Christmas holiday season. The three principal park areas are highlighted below.

Patriots Path

Malvern Borough and two other local Municipalities are engaged in an effort to create a walking trail that connects three Chester County Revolutionary War sites, including the Paoli Massacre site.

Samuel & M. Elizabeth Burke Park

Burke Park, just one block away from the Borough Hall, is 1.4 acres. It is used mainly for festivals, concerts and general recreation. The Gazebo and beautifully landscaped area are perfect for outdoor events.

Theodore S.A. Rubino Memorial Park

Rubino Park, our newest recreation area, has 15,000 square feet of play area with a Gazebo entrance. It has been a wonderful addition to the corner of Broad Street and Old Lincoln Highway. The area is fenced in for child safety and provides a great place for picnics and small children play.

The Horace J. Quann Memorial Park

(Formerly First Ave. Park) Horace J. Quann Memorial Park is 1.6 acres and is probably our most active recreation area. It supports baseball, basketball, and open space for volleyball and other activities. It is located at First and Warren Avenues, across from the Borough Hall.

Randolph Woods

Randolph Woods is a large passive recreation area accessed via Second and Ruthland Avenues. The wooded areas of this area contains a myriad of 'primitive trails' - unpaved packed - earth surfaces. These trails are well suited to walkers and hikers.

John & Marion Herzak Memorial Park

This park is 0.42 acres, located at the corner of Old Lincoln Highway and Bridge Street. It has a high-fenced, full basketball court with paved parking lots accessible from Bridge Street and Old Lincoln Highway.

BE A PART OF HISTORY AND SPREAD WAVES OF HAPPINESS! A big shift in consciousness is needed on this planet – and it is needed NOW. We can’t afford to wait for one more mass shooting, or hurricane and see people suffer nor can we depend on anyone else. We must do our part and we can begin by coming together and creating a culture of peace for our country and the world in Chester County, PA on Sept 8 at 11:00 AM. A big Thank you Chester County Commissioner Michelle Haris Kichline and Terence Farrell for joining us and believing in the mission to bring peace and smile on everyone's face. Let’s UNRAVEL the mystery MEDITATION and see how it can help bring peace and smiles Building on the #AmericaMeditates movement, Meditation Demystified (MD) builds on the How, Why and What of Meditation. We will pull the curtain back on the available Science and take an in-depth look at exactly WHY meditation is so critical to our day-to-day life today. Art Of Living, Exton is happy to offer an intriguing session on Meditation Demystified (MD) with Dr. Sandeep Karode on Sunday Sept 8th, 2019 at Hilton Garden Inn in Exton from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Join us for an engaging evening of MD with Dr. Sandeep Karode, who is a trained PhD Chemical Engineer from IIT-Bombay and a long time Meditator and Art of Living practitioner / Teacher. Hi. Are there any more movie night coming up or is it finished for the season?
Please be careful. At monument battlefield park, A little boy was rolling down the hill on the field side of the baseball field and rolled right into a nest of bees. Looks like there is a huge swarm living in the ground right by the bottom corner of the hill.
