Congratulations to all of our HMX Music Ensembles that participated in the Music in the Parks Festival. Camerata won 1st in AA Middle School Orchestra, HMX Singers won 1st in AA Middle School Treble Choir, and HaVoC won 1st in AA Middle School Mixed Choir!! HaVoC also won Best Overall Choir and a medal for Outstanding Vocal Solo.

It's been a busy (Music in Our Schools Month) for our Mamaroneck music students!

Bravo to all of our students who performed in the All-County festivals on March 4th representing Mamaroneck in bands, choirs, and orchestras at all 3 levels!

And congratulations to the many students who participated in NYSSMA Solo Adjudications on their instruments at Scarsdale High School last weekend! This Festival qualifies some of our students for participation in County, Regional, and All-State festivals next school year.

Three Mamaroneck Music teachers have conducted All-County Festival Concerts this year!

(1/3) This past Saturday, Denise Meltzer (Chatsworth and Murray Band) conducted some of our students in the Westchester County Elementary Band.

(2/3) This past Sunday, Kate Stocker (Hommocks Orchestra) conducted the Sullivan County Junior High Orchestra.

(3/3) In January, Elyse Mullen (MHS Orchestra) conducted the Orange County High School Orchestra.

Students from the MHS Music Department and PACE performed for the 7th and 8th grade at Hommocks on Thursday. The assembly featured Swing Choir, MAC, Jazz Band, Chamber Orchestra, The Force, and PACE Dance students. Students from these ensembles also talked about the many opportunities in our performing arts electives at the high school.
