Our June Board of Education meeting is usually reserved for celebrating accomplishments; but there are so many exciting and inspiring things our students do all year, we’ve decided to recognize them at Board meetings throughout the year, beginning with the October meeting.

Ask any senior what they remember most about coming to the MS/HS campus and they will invariably say Buddy Day. This year was no different.

In an effort to ease the transition from building to building, and to create a greater sense of community, seniors are paired up with 6th grade buddies to share lunch, graciously provided by Rye Neck PTSA this year, and then spend the afternoon playing games and becoming friends.

A huge thanks to all the PE staff for hosting, and to all the advisors and teachers who helped make it happen, as well as to the PTSA for all the deliciousness.

Over the past several weeks, 6th graders at worked their way through Panther Passports by exploring the school; meeting teachers and staff; and learning about the people, places, and resources available to support them. The goal was simple: help our newest Panthers feel more comfortable, connected, and confident navigating middle school. At the end of the project, they celebrated in the dining hall with games and snacks to recognize both their completed passports and the connections they've made along the way.

A special thank you to middle school counselor Meegan Lawlor for coming up with such a creative way to help our students acclimate to their new building.

Meet Crosby: a four-year-old Golden Retriever from Giving Retriever! Crosby and his trainer Nina visited Daniel Warren and F.E. Bellows recently.

We are so excited to continue our work with Giving Retriever this year and the opportunity to expand the program down to our elementary schools.

During Crosby's visits, students will work in small groups, by class, to help train him while getting practical experience with life skills such as patience, cooperation and teamwork.

The Classroom Enrichment program also serves as a wellness opportunity for students and staff. Therapy dogs have been researched and found impactful in alleviating the effects of academic-related stress as well as improvements in their social-emotional skill development.

held its National Honor Society induction ceremony on Tuesday night. Candidacy is based on scholarship by maintaining a three-year average of 90% or higher; active service to the community; strength of character; and potential for leadership.

We were pleased to recommend 62 seniors for membership this year. Additionally, 56 juniors were recognized for their academic excellence, with confidence that they will continue in their dedicated, scholarly habits.

Congratulations to these students on this outstanding achievement!
