We are also excited to officially endorse our very own Andrew Basta for Vice Chair of the New York High School Democrats! Andrew has been an active member of our club since the very beginning, serving as our Vice President in the 2017-2018 school year. Outside of the club, he is perhaps the most politically active and involved young person in our region, working on important campaigns and giving 110% of his effort to get the job done. There are truly no words to describe how diligent and committed a Democrat Andrew Basta is, and we know he will be a fantastic Vice Chair for the NYHSD!

It took a runoff but the MHS Democrats have found their new president. Congratulations to Jesse Ward Ward on becoming the club's third president.

Nathaniel Reynoso narrowly won his race to become vice president.

I would like to congratulate all who ran in our competitive elections. With all of the new ideas being spread, the sky is the limit for our club.

The two winners will be inaugurated at the club's final meeting on Friday, June 8. Also, please order shirts.

Ballots and exit polls have been printed for tomorrow’s club elections where we will be electing our third club President and our second Vice President. If no presidential candidate receives 51% of the vote, the race will go to a runoff between the top two candidates at our next club meeting.
