Cornell University just published its Report, “Hybrid Oaks for the Urban Environment”. The Town of Mamaroneck participated in this study by planting five of the “Cornell Hybrid Oaks” during the spring of 2019, along Hommocks Road in the Hommocks Conservation Area. Each year, the trees have been studied by Cornell University. The report includes a photo of our Town's Environmental Planner, Elizabeth Aitchison, standing under one of the Town’s Hybrid oak trees and lists the Town of Mamaroneck, NY as a participant in the study.
